Mencap, the leading UK charity for people with a learning disability, is partnering with Dosh Financial Advocacy to tackle financial exclusion and inequality.

People with a learning disability often face barriers to financial inclusion – limited access to digital banking, reliance on cash, and a lack of clear, accessible advice. These challenges increase isolation, debt, and vulnerability to financial abuse.

With the Foundation’s support, Mencap and Dosh will co-design, co-produce and deliver tailored financial wellbeing workshops and accessible resources for people with a learning disability, their families, and partner organisations across every age and life stage. This includes providing access to training and Easy Read resources for 5,000 Mencap staff and 284 local partners, who reach 37,000 people collectively. The project will make money support part of Mencap services across the UK, helping people feel included and more confident about money.
