Our impact
At the Aviva Foundation, our impact is driven by two key focus areas:
- Through the Financial Futures Fund, we’re helping individuals and communities build financial resilience – supporting people to feel more secure, confident, and in control of their financial future.
- Through the Communities Fund, we’re helping small organisations so they’re better equipped to respond to the financial and climate challenges facing their local communities.
Together, we’re backing practical solutions and investing in long-term change – where it matters most.
Our reach so far
Since 2015, the Communities Fund (formerly the Aviva Community Fund) has donated over £17 million to more than 9,000 organisations across the UK – supporting grassroots initiatives and locally driven solutions.
The Aviva Foundation has committed a further £17 million since 2018 to initiatives focused on financial inclusion, community resilience, and climate action – deepening our commitment to long-term, systemic change.
Financial Futures Fund: Shaping stronger financial futures, together.
We work in partnership with organisations tackling financial resilience from multiple angles – developing innovative solutions, challenging systemic barriers, and helping people prevent, navigate, and recover from financial challenges.
In 2024, over 14,000 people directly received support designed to strengthen their financial resilience through our funding.
We’re committed to understanding and sharing the real-world impact of this work – and using insights to drive change.
Together, we’re building lasting change for individuals and communities across the UK.
Communities Fund: Supporting communities when it matters most.
We aim to support local charities to do what they do best – listen to, and serve, their communities. Because our partners are often small, community-rooted organisations working across diverse locations, we focus on understanding how our funding strengthens their capacity, resilience, and ability to respond to the challenges they face.
In 2024, 55% of organisations reported being more financially stable as a result of their crowdfunding campaign. (Communities Fund feedback survey, 2024)
70% said they had built new audiences and supporters – and plan to continue engaging with them beyond the campaign. (Communities Fund feedback survey, 2024)
