Street League is a youth employment charity that combines sport, education and life skills to help young people aged 16-30 overcome barriers to work. For over 20 years, Street League has used their Academy model to support unemployed young people, particularly those facing systemic disadvantage, to build confidence, resilience and practical life skills alongside employability training.
With support from the Aviva Foundation, Street League will deliver Own Your Future, a project co‑designed with young people to strengthen their financial knowledge and confidence. Integrated into Street League’s 12‑week Academies, the programme will deliver tailored financial education workshops alongside sport, covering topics such as budgeting, managing income and avoiding debt.
The initiative will reach young people in unemployment hotspots across the UK. Combining sport and financial education together, the project aims to further support participants sustain employment and build long‑term financial resilience.
